Alice Dunnigan

Hello,

  My Name is Adrienne Griffith, I was born and raised in Louisville, Ky. I am currently attending the University of Kentucky, majoring in Kinesology-Exercise Science, and pursuing my Bachelors of Science.

   I created this website for a project I had to do for my African American Studies class. The reason I chose Alice Dunnigan, is becasue when I was younger, I had a passion for writing, I wanted to write teen fiction novels. And once I read Alice Dunnigan's Biography, it sparked something in me from when I was younger. Though she was a jounralist and she wrote about nonfiction Political things. i still felt connected to her. I'm big on strong independt African American women, and when I saw that she was the first African American female correspondent to receive White House credentials and the first African American member of the Women's National Press Club, i knew i had to do my project on her.
